Description

Coramuse Kitsume remembering her childhood friend, Takashi. She met him her first day of school and she loved him. He played with her and protected her and the two of them were inseparable. Takashi loved her long hair and told her it made her the most beautiful girl in the world. Then one day, when Cora and Takashi were in middle school, Cora and Takashi were playing in their secret hideout in the woods when a group of older students found them and terrorized them. Their leader was the older brother of one of the bullies who Takashi would routinely beat up for bullying Cora.

Takashi was beaten and kicked by some of the older boys while the others restrained Cora by her hair. Unfortunately, the leader of the boys kicked Takashi too hard when he was down and cracked his rib which punctured is lungs. Realizing what they went overboard the boys ran away, leaving Takashi dying in his and Cora's little makeshift fort.

Takashi died in Cora's arms that day. She never left his side, not until her brothers and EMTs pulled her away from him. They had found them hours after Takashi's death, one of the boys was so guilt ridden he told someone of the beating.

For Takashi's funeral, Cora cut her hair off and her tied in a braid with red ribbons and laid it in his casket to take with him. It wasn't until years later, when the pain had subsided, that she started to regrow her hair that she was finally able to muster up the courage to visit the old fort,  and as she laid on the ground, looking up at the sky, she smiled as she remembered her dear friend.
